i need to call this something else

The rehearsals for this show has reminded my why I became a musician in the first place.

It is The Feeling.

The feeling you get when you are in front of an audience and it all goes so well. The feeling you get when you are sitting amongst a group of amazing musicians who know their stuff, are in control of their instrument and know what they are doing and they do it with energy and conviction. It is the sound, the groove. Being swept away by the emotions, feeling immersed, feeling drugged.

Some call it flow. I call it a drug. A drug that drives us to pursue this crazy career if the face of competition, financial insecurity and harsh criticism.

The feeling makes it all worth it. If you have experienced it, you know what I mean.
